Where Will We Stay?

The Condesa neighborhood offers a blend of tree-lined boulevards, Art Deco architecture, cozy cafes, and a vibrant food scene. It’s stylish but relaxed, tourist-friendly yet local; the kind of place where you can spend afternoons meandering through shady parks, and evenings on rooftop decks.

Located in the heart of Condesa, this vibrant building is surrounded by some of the city’s best bars, restaurants, cafés, and boutiques — perfect for those who love discovering the city on foot.

The property features beautiful interior design filled with light, energy, and personality, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive.

It offers a variety of unit types, from suites and studios to full apartments and connected units ideal for families or groups. All spaces are fully equipped, thoughtfully designed, and exceptionally comfortable — making every stay effortless and memorable.

Why Mexico City?

Mexico City is a thriving creative hub that has long attracted writers and artists with its vibrant cultural heritage and rich history. It offers unmatched historical inspiration, world-class museums, and a deeply stimulating environment for creative minds.

Five Fun Facts about Mexico City:

It has an Aztec city underneath. The ancient Aztec capital, Tenochtitlán, is literally buried beneath the city, and the National Palace sits directly on top of the ruins of Aztec emperor Moctezuma's palace.

It has the only authentic royal castle in North America. Chapultepec Castle is perched on a 67-meter hill, it was built in 1785, housed Mexican emperors and presidents, and is now a museum.

It ranks only second to London for the highest number of museums. With over 150 museums, including the iconic Frida Kahlo Museum and the stunning, metallic Soumaya Museum, Mexico City is one of the best cities in the world for museums.

It has a vast network of ancient canals. In the southern borough of Xochimilco, you can ride on colorfully painted trajineras (flat-bottomed boats) to see the Chinampas, an ancient floating garden.

It has a massive amount of green space. Chapultepec Park is a massive urban oasis in the heart of the metropolis. It is famously twice the size of New York City's Central Park.

What Will We Make?

Our inspiration for this retreat is the visual journals of the artist Frida Kahlo, who made her diary into an amazing work of art.  On this retreat, we will give ourselves permission to experiment with new ways to express ourselves, by bringing our words and images together.  All you need is a sketchbook, a few writing and drawing supplies, and an open mind and heart.  You will return home with a new perspective and a practice to continue in your daily life.
